The King of Footwear...Christian Louboutin!

Now I'm sure everyone is familiar with the world renowned shoe designer Christian Louboutin. Well if your not I am...lol...Not that I have ever bought a pair of his shoes for men or women but I'm sure a lot of people would agree when I say that they are definitely good just to look at. I've pretty much bought my mom every pair of pumps and boots that she has stacked in her closet, but I have yet to seal the deal with a pair of these (One day!). The famous red soles are the signature design that makes these shoes so popular around the world. They're talked about in rap, hip hop, and pop songs, seen in music videos and movies, and are well known through out the lives of the rich and famous. With designs from sneakers and lace up dress shoes for men to flats and 3-6 inch stilettos for women, any one of these shoes could satisfy the most prestigious of groups.

Mr. Louboutin is from Paris, France and was born to a cabinet maker father and a stay at home mother along with his three sisters. He dropped out of school at an early age after being kicked out 4 times and began sketching shoe designs in his early teens. After living in India for a year Mr. Louboutin returned to Paris in 1981 and assembled a portfolio of drastically high heel shoe designs he sketched. He presented his work to top couture houses and it landed him a job with French fashion designer Charles Jourdan. Through this, Christian Louboutin would meet and become an apprentice for French shoe designer Roger Vivier. Soon after, he became a free lance designer and designed shoes for Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, and Maude Frizon. In 1991 he was funded by two backers and opened up his very first store in Paris with Princess Caroline of Monaco as his first customer. While the Princess was shopping a fashion journalist was present and overheard her complimenting Mr. Louboutin on his store. The journalist published the story with the Princess's comments and it surged the shoe designers popularity.

Here's the link to the website along with a few pair of my favorite Christian Louboutin's...both men and women.
