PHOTO OF THE DAY!

These two women definitely made my day. I was coming out of Zara's on 5th ave. and I noticed the lady on the left first. She seemed to be waiting for the other lady to meet up with her. As soon as I stepped out of the door, her friend had caught up and the reunion began. They greeted each other with hugs and laughs and complimented one another on their posh looks! The simplicity in their outfits was captivating however the detail finish in their make-up, clip on earrings, and the red patterned head scarf the lady on the right has truly upholds this 5th avenue look. They were actually on their way to do a little bit of shopping and couldn't believe I wanted their picture, they thought their runway days were over. Honestly, I felt like they were giving a silent tutorial for all the young girls out that day on how to be a classy fashionable lady, and their sunglasses was the final chapter in this 'how to' manuel. Big face sunshades have always been a must have accessory for almost all celebrities or famed socialites. But this prestigious look has also made it's way throughout the Upper East and West side neighborhoods of NY, LA, and of course overseas. The invention of sunglasses dates all the way back to the 12th century in China where they were made from flat panes of smoky quartz. Back then the judges in ancient chinese courts used these shades to cover their facial expressions while questioning witnesses. Fast forward hundreds of years later and you will see designers such as Michael Kors, Ray Ban, Prada, and Louis Vuitton on the faces of many people donning the most expensive look. But let's be real not all of us can afford these luxurious brands so in the mean time Jessica Simpson, Calvin Klein, and Guess have created a more affordable approach so everyone can look like someone. Lord & Taylor, Macy's, Sak's, or Bergdorf's all carry these brands starting at a retail of $40 bucks(USD).
*Exhales deeply* PHEW!!!! All that from just this photo... This definitely deserves to be the photo of the day.
